Septembre 2021 - Voyage en Nouvelle Ecosse - The Cabot Trail - Trip to Nova Scotia (jour 4 - part 2)

Belle journée qui s'annonce and départ de Baddeck pour faire le tour du Cabot Trail dans une journée soit environ 300 kms. Environ un tiers du Cabot Trail se situe à l'intérieur du Parc National des Hautes Terres du Cap Breton. Le chemin du White Cliff Trail avec le cimetière du marin inconnu nous a été recommandé. It's going to be a pretty day. We leave from Baddeck to ride the famous Cabot Trail in one day, about 300 kms.  About one third of the Cabot Trail encompasses the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The White Cliff Trail with the cemetary of the Unknown Sailor was recommended to us. 

Petit arrêt Pique-Nique au John Cabot Landing - Giovanni Caboto, un génois qui a découvert l'Amérique du Nord en 1497 (et non Christophe Colomb qui en 1492 a découvert les antilles notamment) We stop for our picnic at the John Cabot's Landing, Giovanni Caboto was from Genoa in Italy and he discovered North America in 1497 (Christophe Colomb discovered the Antilles in 1492).

Pas trop de monde sur la plage ! Nobody on the beach !

Jolie route sinueuse entre Pleasant Bay et Cheticamp avec une belle vue sur la mer et la route mais malheureusement le temps s'est couvert du côté ouest du Cabot Trail. La vue en est un peu gâchée. Pretty curvy road between Pleasant Bay and Cheticamp with a stunning view over the sea and the road. Unfortunately, the weather on the Western side of the Cabot Trail has deteriorated and therefore the view is a little bit spoilt.

Une très bonne journée de nouveau. Un peu de déception de notre côté concernant le Cabot Trail et ce peut être à cause de la pluie et brume que nous avons eu en fin de journée. Sans doute, nous en avait-on trop parlé ou peut-être devenons-nous blasés... On s'attendait à du grandiose et oui, c'est très joli et même quelquefois magnifique notamment la partie entre Pleasant Bay et Chéticamp, mais dire que c'est l'une des plus routes du monde, c'est exagéré à notre avis... A great day overall again. A little bit disappointed on our side concering the Cabot Trail and maybe this is because we heard too much about it or may be are we starting to become satiated. We were expecting jaw dropping views all along. Yes, it is very pretty and even very beautiful, especially the road between Pleasant Bay and Cheticamp, but saying it is one of the most beautiful road of the world, this is pushing it, in our opinion.

Bon, on revient sur les commentaires ci-dessus, nous sommes revenus 2 jours plus tard par beau temps et cette fois, nous avons adoré... A suivre.... Ok, back to the comments above. We came back to 2 days later with nice weather and we loved it ! to be continued...
